OnSpot Social is the first iPad application that allows businesses to collect Facebook Likes, Twitter Followers, and customer email addresses at a physical location (like a retail store, coffee shop or restaurant, conference or trade show booth, college campus, etc.).
OnSpot Social is displayed, and accessed by your customers, through an iPad. It is recommended that you put the iPad with OnSpot Social running in a high traffic area at your physical location.
Anyone who’s looking to get more Facebook Likes, Twitter Followers, or capture email addresses can use OnSpot Social. Some of the businesses that can most benefit from using OnSpot Social are retail stores, coffee shops or restaurants, conference or trade show booths, colleges and universities, live entertainment companies hosting events, sports teams and arenas, politicians, celebrities, and authors, & even charities.
Login to OnSpot Social and connect your Facebook Page to OnSpot Social through the Facebook tab within the Administration Section. This will display a Facebook icon on the Display Screen. Customers can then tap the Facebook icon, input their Facebook login information (which is not stored on OnSpot Social), and Like your Facebook page.
Login to OnSpot Social and connect your Twitter Page to OnSpot Social through the Twitter tab within the Administration Section. This will display a Twitter icon on the Display Screen. Customers can then tap the Twitter icon, input their Twitter login information (which is not stored on OnSpot Social), and Follow your business on Twitter.
Login to OnSpot Social and turn on the Email Capture feature through the Email tab within the Administration Section. This will display an Email icon on the Display Screen. Customers can then tap the Email icon, input & submit their name and email address. You can then download your email addresses by logging into OnSpotSocial.com.
If your iPad doesn’t have 3G and you do not have an Internet connection OnSpot Social will automatically switch to collect customer email addresses only. The next time you have access to the Internet, those customer email addresses will be uploaded to our secure server. You can download a list of your email connections by logging into OnSpotSocial.com anytime.
OnSpot Social allows you to create custom messages and Special offers to display on the Display Screen. Businesses can use this Specials feature to entice customers to connect with you on Facebook, Twitter, or Email. Simply login to OnSpot Social, tap the Specials Tab, and start crafting your Special right away.
You’re limited only by your creativity. We recommend for maximum uptake by customers that you run a Special Discount Offer that a customer can redeem on the spot! A few examples might be, “Like us on Facebook, Save 10% on Your Purchase”, “Follow Us on Twitter and Get entered into our contest”, “Provide us with your email address and Save $1 on your Coffee”.
No. You can collect any combination of the three at the same time or just collect each individually as well.
Go to OnSpotSocial.com, click “Login” in the top right corner of the website, and follow the “forgot password” instructions.
There are 3 ways to add your logo to the Display Screen on OnSpot Social. Tap the Logo tab and either select upload a logo from your iPad’s Photos library, enter a URL for any website and select any image you’d like to use on OnSpot Social, or if you have your Facebook page connected to OnSpot Social, you can pull any image from Facebook and use it on OnSpot Social.
Tap the Backgrounds tab, select a theme (light or dark) and then select a Display Screen setup that you like. Click the Preview button to see what your selections will look like.
Currently, the Reports tab displays total collections by marketing tool (ie. Total Facebook Likes collected through OnSpot Social, Total Twitter Followers collected, etc.). We plan to expand the Reports section in future updates.
You can download the customer email addresses that you collect through OnSpot Social by logging into OnSpotSocial.com.
You can use OnSpot Social on more than one iPad. There are several enterprise subscription options based on the number of iPads that you want to use OnSpot Social on.
Yes. There are several enterprise subscription options based on the number of locations/iPads that you want to use OnSpot Social on.
This may be due to the way the user has their security settings set on their personal account or Facebook sometimes asks for additional information when connecting through a device they normally don’t use.
