In an earlier post on our blog we wrote about the Tablet Marketing Meme and how it is spreading from company to company all over the world. More and more businesses are beginning to realize the potential tablet marketing offers as a marketing strategy. Almost every business on the planet can benefit in some way by using tablets to show consumers digital content and engage them in digital activities. In this article we are going to move forward from theory (which was covered in the Tablet Marketing Meme article) and move more into practice, in regards to how businesses of all shapes and sizes can leverage Tablet Marketing strategies to better engage their customers and increase sales.

As a viable marketing strategy, tablet marketing is still in its infancy. That said, it’s quickly gaining traction with businesses all around the world. Tablets are the first convenient tool that companies can use to bridge the gap between online and real world communications. It used to be that all online communications and digital resources/digital content had to be consumed by your prospects & customers while they were at home or at some location other than your store.

Now, with the creation of tablets, companies can use these new devices to serve up digital content to consumers while they are in your store or at your booth during an event. Basically, companies can now leverage digital content at a location that can dramatically impact sales. When a consumer is in your store that person is at what we call “peak attention” when it comes to their interest in your business. Companies have to do everything possible to convert as many consumers into paying customers as possible while they are in your store. Tablet marketing strategies can help your company do just that. Now, it’s all about figuring out how to best use tablet marketing for your business.

Tablet Marketing can have a huge impact on sales for your business. Again, as we mentioned above, consumers are at “peak interest” in your business when they are in your store, on your campus, or at your booth during an event. It’s at this point that you want to capitalize on their interest by converting them from prospect to customer. One way to do this is to institute a tablet marketing strategy that allows you to do just that. Here are a few ideas for using tablet marketing to increase sales:

  • Use tablets to show product videos (or service videos) – Showing the benefits of a product or service via a quick video strategically placed in a kiosk next to the product is a great way to convert a prospective customers who’s on the fence about a purchase into a paying customer
